Main Objective:

The project aims to improve the capacity of relevant VET actors through reinforcing the regional, national and transnational partnerships in order to ease the transition towards more effective, more company – and practice oriented forms of WBL in VET in the Danube countries. Thus it aims to develop permeable secondary education and training schemes helping labour mobility and responding to fast economic changes and quickly changing needs of companies.

Specific objectives:

SO1- Improving the institutional capacities and reinforce VET partnerships – through learning activities on individual, stakeholder and institutional level, enabling them to boost the transition towards more demand-driven forms of WBL

SO2- Developing transnational tools to support the VET reform –long term transition of VET systems including dual VET and apprenticeship. The aim is to equip VET partners from Danube region with durable transnationally convertible tools and change mind-set to catalyse and implement the needed complex, long –term changes in the institutional. Cultural and organizational frames.

SO3- Developing transnational describing transition of VET system- support the project vision (enabling VET actors through capacity building to boost the reform of existing VET systems) by developing national/regional strategies, including practical roadmaps defining clear responsibilities, rights and obligations for each key VET actors involved, to support the VET reform.

Stakeholders:  

Ministries, Regional and Local Authorities, Companies, VET Providers, Students and other interested parties like entrepreneurs, parents, carrier centers, NGOs and labor offices.

Main results:

  • Transition towards more efficient, more company and practice-driven Work-Based Learning schemes with VET (especially apprenticeship)
  • Intensifying the cooperation of VET actors within these partnerships and committing them to an increased long term cooperation of VET actors within the existing VET systems in the Danube Region towards more demand-driven Work –Based Learning forms is biggest achievement of the project.
  • Reinforcement the cooperation mechanisms, transferable tools and instruments of 9 national/regional VET partnerships and other 6 VET actors from 14 countries and beyond, to support European VET reform in the Danube region

  • Local partnerships to support VET reform and Critical analysis of key challenges
  • National visions of ideal WBL VET systems and Empowering capacity building actions
  • Guidebook for more efficient Work –Based Learning, Scenario on modernizing WBL systems and Work-Based Learning Observatory
  • Strategies for modernize WBL schemes in VET and Policy recommendations
