Enterprise Europe Network (EEN) Vratsa

Enterprise Europe Network (EEN) is the largest network of the European Commission supporting businesses. It brings together hundreds of organisations in over 60 countries and plays a key role in promoting internationalisation, innovation, and the competitiveness of small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs) in Europe. Through the network, businesses gain access to international markets, reliable partners, and modern solutions for development.

In the period 2008–2021, the Chamber of Commerce and Industry Vratsa was part of this network through Enterprise Europe Network (EEN) Vratsa. Through this participation, CCI Vratsa provided enterprises from the Vratsa region and Northwestern Bulgaria with direct access to European expertise, contacts, and development opportunities.

Over the years, EEN Vratsa actively supported businesses in the region by:

  • facilitating the identification of international business, technological, and research partners;
  • supporting companies in entering new markets;
  • providing up-to-date information on European legislation, policies, and programmes;
  • promoting the adoption of innovations, new technologies, and digital solutions;
  • supporting companies’ participation in European funding programmes;
  • organising business missions, brokerage events, and cooperation meetings;
  • advising businesses on topics such as sustainable development, resource and energy efficiency;
  • collecting and transmitting feedback from enterprises to the European Commission;
  • working in close cooperation with national and international partners to improve the business environment.

As a result of these activities, many enterprises from the region established international partnerships, expanded their markets, and implemented new development solutions.

As of 1st of January 2022, the Chamber of Commerce and Industry Vratsa is no longer part of the Enterprise Europe Network. However, the accumulated experience and established partnerships continue to be utilised and further developed through participation in European projects and initiatives aimed at internationalisation, innovation, and sustainable business development in the region.
