On 28 November 2025, the Chamber of Commerce and Industry Vratsa organised the Seventh Stakeholder Meeting under the TOURBO project – Boosting the transition pathway of MSMEs in tourism with green and digital transformation. The event brought together representatives of Vratsa Municipality, the Vratsa Regional Administration, tourism organisations, clubs, and active citizens who actively contributed to the discussions.

The main focus of the meeting was on proposals for modernising the Tourism Development Strategy of Vratsa Region 2021–2027, including:

  • Expanding the role of the Tourism Council as an active coordination and analytical body;
  • Establishing a permanent “Digital & Green” working group tasked with developing standards for digitalisation, sustainability, and data collection;
  • Strengthening the role of the Regional Administration as the leading institution in the revision and implementation of the tourism strategy.

During the second panel, key proposals for updating the Regional Tourism Strategy were presented, including the creation of a regional Tourism Data Hub, the introduction of minimum standards for digital presence, and indicators for green and digital transition.

Participants worked in discussion groups to formulate practical steps for implementing the proposed changes and improving coordination among institutions, businesses, and municipalities.

The meeting concluded with a summary of the outcomes and an outline of the next steps for updating the strategy and shaping new governance mechanisms.
