On March 11th and 12th, the Chamber of Commerce and Industry – Vratsa participated in the third partner meeting and study visit of the "Reindustrialisation Following the Brownfield is Better than Greenfield Principle" (ReInd-BBG) project. The project is funded by the European Commission's INTERREG Danube Region Program (2021-2027) and is implemented by a consortium of 16 partners from Slovenia, Bulgaria, Bosnia and Herzegovina, Austria, Serbia, Romania, and Montenegro.

During the meeting, CCI-Vratsa’s team, together with a representative from the Vratsa Municipality, presented an individual plan for the selected pilot location in Bulgaria. Experts from the project consortium evaluated the proposals and provided guidelines for improving the plans for each pilot location.

Day 1 of the meeting also included a presentation on financial stability instruments for brownfield re-industrialization. Later on, participants visited re-industrialized locations, including the Zenica Business Zone and the Zenica Development Agency. The study visit also included tours of areas with potential where re-industrialization activities have not yet commenced.

On the second day, the partners discussed the self-assessment tool for the investment readiness of the pilot locations. The meeting then continued with individual consultations for each location, during which recommendations were provided to improve the developed plans.
