People Powered Tourism project kick off meeting in Szeged, Hungary

On 6-7 May 2025 in Szeged, Hungary was held the first meeting for the "People Powered Tourism" project, funded by the Interreg Danube Region programme for 2021-2027.

The main goal of the project is to encourage local communities to promote their cultural and natural resources by developing sustainable, experience-based tourism services.

The project is being implemented by a consortium of 14 partners from 10 countries, including Hungary, Croatia, Bosnia and Herzegovina, Romania, Serbia, Bulgaria, Slovenia, Moldova, Ukraine, and Montenegro, with the Municipality of Szeged (Hungary) as the lead partner.

During the meeting, the long-term vision, roles, and expected results during the project implementation were discussed.
