The Chamber of Commerce and Industry – Vratsa is pleased to announce that the second good practice for Bulgaria under the ACTIVE ID project - “Vratsa in 360°: Digital Journey through Identity, Nature & Culture” - has been accepted and published on the Interreg Europe Portal. This highlights the importance of digital innovation and cultural promotion as drivers of sustainable regional development and competitiveness of small and medium-sized enterprises in the tourism sector.
The initiative “Vratsa in 360°” offers an immersive digital experience that showcases the natural, cultural, and historical landmarks of the Vratsa region through virtual reality and interactive technologies. Visitors can explore emblematic sites such as the Vrachanski Balkan Nature Park, Ledenika Cave, the Historical Museum of Vratsa, and traditional crafts, experiencing them in a new and engaging way that combines education, entertainment, and promotion of local heritage.
This good practice demonstrates how digital tools can enrich the tourist offer, attract younger and tech-savvy audiences, and provide new opportunities for local SMEs, cultural operators, and the hospitality sector. It serves as a replicable model for regions that seek to strengthen their tourism appeal while preserving cultural identity and promoting sustainable visitor engagement.
