  15:43, 23 Jun 25

The Chamber of Commerce and Industry – Vratsa (CCI-Vratsa) will play a leading role in the DanubeCrafts project, launched on 17 June 2025.

As Work Package Leader for “Traditional Crafts Centres & Entrepreneurial Capacity Building”, CCI-Vratsa will coordinate the establishment of five regional centres across the Danube region. These will serve as hubs for:

  • Training and skills development in crafts and social entrepreneurship;
  • Exhibitions and sales spaces for authentic products;
  • Workshops and cultural events to share traditional knowledge;
  • Market access and digital tools for artisans.

At the kick-off meeting, Mrs. Maya Milova, CEO of CCI-Vratsa, presented the work package objectives, emphasizing the importance of empowering local communities and ensuring that crafts contribute to both heritage preservation and economic growth.

In the coming months, CCI-Vratsa will also contribute to data collection and SWOT analyses, laying the groundwork for the centres that will operate as creative and entrepreneurial hubs.

With its expertise in supporting SMEs and creative industries, CCI-Vratsa will help connect heritage with innovation, tradition with digitalization, and crafts with tourism development.
