The INSPIRES project was presented during the World Meeting of the International Organisation of Book Towns (IOB), held in Chelopek and Vratsa from 11 to 16 September 2026.
On 12 September, at the Knigini Association, Svetlana Borisova presented the main areas of focus of INSPIRES - sustainability, digital transformation and resilience in tourism - as well as the project’s practical tools for supporting small and medium-sized enterprises.
As a concrete local example, the project Digital Pathways: Engaging Youth with Culture and Sustainability, funded through INSPIRES, was presented. The initiative connects cultural heritage, digital technologies and youth engagement through planned activities involving 3D digitisation, holographic technologies, educational modules and an AR application. Its main message is to use technology to tell local stories in new ways without losing their authenticity.
The international meeting provided an opportunity to present INSPIRES to an external international audience and to share the project’s approaches and supported initiatives with representatives of cultural and tourism organisations from different European countries.
