On 14 April 2025, the first stakeholder meeting of the SymbioTech – “The European Alliance for Advancing Circular Economy via Industrial Digital Symbiosis” project was held in the conference hall of the Chamber of Commerce and Industry Vratsa. The project is funded by the Erasmus+ Programme of the European Union.
The team of CCI Vratsa presented the objectives and activities of the project, which aims to promote the circular economy through industrial and digital symbiosis – a process where enterprises exchange resources, materials, or energy to increase efficiency and reduce waste.
SymbioTech brings together partners from 11 European countries working to develop an innovative training programme, a digital platform, and tools to encourage sustainable business models. The project will help companies and training organisations build green competences and apply new resource-saving solutions.
The initiative in Vratsa marked the beginning of the creation of a national stakeholder network, which will foster collaboration between industry, science, and the public sector towards a more sustainable and innovative economy.
