Scope of the project
With rising temperatures and frequent natural disasters, the world is in a state of climate emergency. Radical and urgent change is needed. Innovative companies can seize opportunities from the transition to global environmental sustainability and transform the way they do business fundamentally. This project will explore the crucial need for change as well as identify business opportunities that arise from managing this emergency.
Project’s objective:
- Developing a skills strategy and low carbon transition Action plan to help businesses adapt to climate and environmental change.
- Providing the necessary interdisciplinary skills on climate change and environmental issues needed in business
- Elaboration of short individual courses for companies in order to apply for microcredits to manage quickly with the climate emergencies and transform the way they work.
- Raising awareness of environmental challenges and climate change.
The project envisages the following results:
- Low Carbon Transition Action Plan for Business.
- Open Online Course on Business and Climate Emergencies.
- Webinars on business issues related to climate change and sustainability.
- A brochure with infographics and practical ideas from real examples of successful low carbon initiatives.
- Awareness-raising activities (information days, infographics, social media campaigns, events, etc.) on business and climate change.
- Conference with experts, politicians and stakeholders on the role of business in climate emergencies.
